Now wasn’t that a party? (with apologies for the dreaded song implant). A sincere thank you to the 400 members of our Vancouver College family who came out in full force to benefit our amazing school. What a wonderful night it was on so many levels, and on behalf of our many Finnegan Ball volunteers (see list below), we are very grateful for your attendance & support!
The Finnegan’s Winter White theme was embraced by many, including Principal Johnny Bevacqua (aka James Bond/Pitbull), and President John Nixon (aka John Travolta/Ricardo Montalban), and great fun was had by our 400 guests representing our diverse school community. Once again March Hare rocked the beautifully decorated ballroom, and just ahead of 1 am there was still a full dance floor of VC supporters who happily burned off some calories from the wonderful meal prepared by the Fairmont Pacific Rim staff.
Greg Rollo, a professional auctioneer from Ritchie Brothers, again donated his time & talents in support our school. Details will follow, but our guests were incredibly generous which helps every current VC student, and indeed future ones, so again our entire volunteer committee is most appreciative.
Lastly, a special thank you to our Co-Chairs Shana Hochfelder & Sheila Pauls who led us for Finnegan Ball 2015, lovingly called a “wedding on steroids” by many. We’ll take a short break, but will soon be planning for Finnegan Ball 2016, and look forward to another sold out event for the benefit of the best school in Canada.
